International Fund for Africa - Partner
The International Fund For Africa works to alleviate the suffering of both human and non-human animals all over Africa. In mid 2010 IFA helped to start the Ethiopian Vegan Association. AWFW helped spread the message of this new group by sponsoring their first conference in Addis Adaba in December of 2010.
Brighter Green - Partner
Brighter Green is a nonprofit action tank that works to raise awareness on issues such as the environment, animals, and sustainable development. We proudly contribute to Brighter Green's goals of producing publications, websites, documentary films, and programs to illuminate public debate among policy-makers, activists, communities, influential leaders, and the media, with the goal of social transformation at local and international levels.
Africa Network For Animal Welfare (ANAW)
ANAW is a Pan-African Organization based in Kenya focusing on promoting humane treatment of all animals and the well being of the communities who live with them. The focus of the Africa Network for Animal Welfare is Policy and Legislation Advocacy besides being involved in projects that span from animal rescue, protection, care and management as well as animal intervention activities for sustainable development.
Food Empowerment Project
Food Empowerment Project works to spotlight inequities in US communities regarding access to healthy foods. Their research exposes an "environmental racism" that perpetuates cycles of obesity in low-income communities. Through our partnership we supply funding for projects which reveal the need to continue the fight to allocate resources where they are most needed.
Mobile Matters
MobileMatters is a cause-based mobile technology company that helps non-profit organizations utilize mobile technology (i.e. text messaging, “QR” codes, mobile websites, “apps”, etc.) to further their mission. They develop and implement interactive mobile campaigns that help organizations reach more members and supporters, raise more funds and awareness, and retain greater long-term relationships. Their mission...to make an immediate and measurable impact on the quality of life around the globe, both human and animal, through the speed and reach of mobile.
Indian Animals Federation
The Indian Animals Federation acts as an umbrella for all Indian animal protection organizations. Their work focuses on support for other groups, supplying a means to network, and advocating for policies that impact animals.
Live Green
Based right here in Washington, D.C., Live Green's mission is to grow the green economy. The membership based organization partners with environmentally conscious and sustainable businesses to offer discounts to encourage all Washingtonians to live (and shop) green.
Meatout Mondays
Meatout Mondays is a campaign encouraging everyone to go meatless every Monday! By sending out a weekly email newsletter (every Friday) with recipes and tips, it is easy to find inspiration to kick of their week with delicious and healthy meat-free meals.
VegFund
VegFund empowers organizations and individual activists by sponsoring vegan outreach activities. They sponsor talks, feed-ins, online activism, and a variety of other veg-friendly events. VegFund is comprised almost entirely of volunteers and there is no office or geographic center. This helps keep operating costs low so more money can go directly to outreach.
The Alliance To End Hunger
With nearly 80 members consisting of corporations, non-profit groups, universities, and faith organizations, The Alliance To End Hunger fosters unique relationships between their members and the people they serve in an effort to advance their mission of hunger advocacy.
Global Food Security and Nutrition Dialogue
The Global Food Security and Nutrition Dialogue encourages conversations regarding international political events and processes that play a role in the eradication of hunger and malnutrition. The dialogue works to implement food, nutrition, and livelihood security to all.
USDA ChooseMyPlate
USDA ChooseMyPlate represents the USDA dietary guidelines. The most recent call for reduced portion sizes, increased fruit and vegetable intake (at least half your meal), and increased whole grain consumption. While AWFW is part of MyPlate's advisory and promotional coalition, our recommendations following the Power Plate designed by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
International Vegetarian Union
The International Vegetarian Union (IVU) is a global network of independent organizations promoting vegetarianism worldwide. IVU was founded in 1908 when the first World Vegetarian Congress was held in Dresden, Germany. The idea for IVU came from the French Vegetarian Society, the first Congress was organised internationally by the British Society and locally by the Dresden Society with support from the Deutsche Vegetarier-Bund.
